Prosthetic leg repairs and socket replacement
Bring your leg even if it was made somewhere else, even if it is old. We check every part, tell you what can be repaired and what needs replacing, and agree the price before we touch it.
- Free first assessment
- Test socket before the final leg
- Call or WhatsApp 24/7
What we repair
- Sockets that are loose, tight, cracked or causing sores, by adjusting, padding or making a new one.
- Feet with a cracked keel, flat heel or torn shell, by replacing the shell or the whole foot.
- Knees that click, stick, buckle or swing unevenly, by adjusting, servicing or replacing.
- Suspension: worn sleeves, torn straps, sticking pins, leaking valves and liners that have lost their grip.
- Pylons and adapters that are bent, loose or set at the wrong length or angle.
- Cosmetic covers that are torn or discoloured.
Every leg that comes in gets a full check, not just the part you came about. A loose bolt found early can save a fall.

Habits that make a leg last
- A check-up once or twice a yearEven when nothing feels wrong. Bolts loosen and parts wear slowly.
- Keep water out unless it is waterproofWater rusts adapters and spoils some feet and knees.
- Same heel heightShoes with a different heel height strain the foot and change the alignment.
- Do not tighten bolts yourselfAdapters are set to a torque and an angle. Ask us instead.
Repair questions
Do you repair prosthetic legs made by other clinics?
Yes. Most legs use standard parts and adapters, so we can repair or replace them whoever made the leg. If a part is unusual, we tell you whether we can source a replacement and how long it will take.
How quickly can you repair my leg?
Small jobs, such as a new foot shell, a loose bolt, a strap, a sleeve or a liner pin, are often done the same day. A new socket needs casting and a test socket, so it usually takes one to two weeks.
My leg was fine and now it hurts. Is it broken?
Often the leg is fine and the stump has changed: weight gain or loss, swelling, or shrinkage. A new socket, or simply adding socks or pads, usually solves it. Pain that appears suddenly after a fall needs checking straight away.
Is it worth repairing a very old leg?
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. If the knee and foot are sound, a new socket can give the leg years more life. If several parts are worn out, a new leg may cost little more than repairing everything. We show you both prices.
Can you service a hydraulic knee?
We check and adjust hydraulic and pneumatic knees and replace worn parts where available. Some branded knees need factory servicing; in that case we explain the cost and the timing before sending anything away.

Send us a photo of the problem
A photo or short video of the leg and the stump on WhatsApp is often enough for us to tell you what is wrong, roughly what it will cost, and whether it can be done the same day.
